A shade grown sencha produced from the newly developed Kirari 31 cultivar. It combines a unique subtle lemon aroma and taste with the usual green umami notes to brilliant effect.
I'm very excited to offer a selection of Sencha from Yame Tea Kumaen, a regular winner of national Japanese tea competitions as well as international tea competitions. They are a family run farming going for over a century with the current tea master Masahiro Kuma being the 3rd generation in the family tea farm and the head of operation Kazumi Nakatani a 4th generation!
