China Fujian Anxi Wild 'Jin Guan Yin' Black Tea

Z - Archive

A most unique black tea produced from an abandoned tea farm utilising a mixture of oolong and black tea processing. It has a light sweet honeyed taste which lingers in the mouth, without any trace of malt or astringency.

The Chinese market for Anxi oolongs boomed in the 90s and 00s but the bubbled popped resulting in many farmers giving up on growing tea and abandoning their farms. This particular tea is produced from an abandoned tea farm growing the Jin GuanYin cultivar.
